At Prince Technical High School, students succeed in whichever path they choose. Students are immersed in college prep academics and can choose from 13 different career fields. In addition, Prince Tech serves adult education students with a variety apprentice courses. Explore Our Programs Aerospace Component Manufacturing Technology The Automated Manufacturing program uses mechanical design and engineering technology, 3D modeling software, MasterCAM computer-aided manufacturing software, and computer-numerical control (CNC) programming software to design and create projects. Learn More Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Students in the Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing program learn safety, tools and equipment, damage analysis, component replacement, sheet metal straightening and filling, welding, painting and refinishing, detailing, and introduction to frame straightening and mechanical systems. Learn More Automotive Technology Students in the Automotive Technology Program are given instruction in safety, tools and equipment, engine repair, electrical and electronic systems, brakes, steering and suspension, engine performance, air conditioning, and driveline service. Learn More Bioscience and Environmental Technology The Bioscience and Environmental Technology program is designed to observe, test and solve environmental issues that affect our living space. Through project-based learning, students study habitats, and plant and animal life that inhabits each. Learn More Carpentry The Carpentry program is organized around the fabrication and construction of residential housing and related remodeling. Production work is an essential part of the carpentry trade program experience. Construction agreements are made with customers to build, renovate, remodel or extend structures. Learn More Culinary Arts Culinary Arts program are trained in all phases of the food service industry. Students take the hands-on” approach with their training through the use of fully stocked and operational commercial kitchens to produce food in large quantities, as well as smaller scale kitchens that train students on casual and fine dining. Learn More Digital Media Digital Media Technology are introduced to basic concepts of video creation and production. Instruction is provided in Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Students are exposed to the basics of pre-production and post-production, as well as special effects creation. Learn More Electrical Electrical prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to install, operate, maintain, and repair electric apparatus and systems such as residential, commercial, and industrial electric-power, and DC and AC motors, controls and electrical distribution panels. Learn More Graphic Design Graphic Design students are introduced to the basic concepts of page layout and graphic design, methods of print production and image development for new media, legal restrictions of the printing industry and laws of copyright and intellectual property, printing and bindery process, fundamentals of type, typesetting, page layout, proofreading, line photography, image assembly and substrates. Learn More Hairdressing and Cosmetology The Hairdressing and Cosmetology program encompasses a broad range of specialty areas including hairstyling, nail technology, and esthetics. It is the art and science of beautifying and improving the skin, nails, and hair, and the study of cosmetics and their applications. Learn More Health Technology Health Technology students are given instruction in health care safety, nutrition, National Health Care Standards, categories of health care facilities, legal/ethical/moral concerns in health care, and effective communication including medical terminology. Learn More Information Technology Students in the field of Information Technology are introduced to basic concepts of computer hardware and software. Instruction is provided in office productivity software, computer programming, web design and desktop publishing. Learn More Masonry The Masonry Program prepares students for employment in construction trades directly related to the use of mortar, block, tile, and slate. The program involves the understanding and use of materials such as mortar and bonding agents, the related hand and power tools of the trade, laying and aligning brick, block, and tile, the building of archways, fireplaces, chimneys, wall works, and interior finishing. Learn More Plumbing and Heating The Plumbing and Heating program prepares students with knowledge in construction safety, measuring and blueprint reading, calculations of plumbing and heating systems. This includes drainage fixture units, water supply fixture units, gas pipe sizing, and calculating heat loss for hydronic heating applications. Learn More Student Workforce Student Workforce Work-Based Learning (WBL) allows a student to work for an employer during their trade instructional time. Students not only receive credit toward their career technology, but also get paid. Off-Campus Construction Projects CTECS has the unique ability to complete construction jobs off-campus, on both residential homes and commercial properties.
